funk-o-licious

Good stuff, watch you balence settings though, this is pretty much all the way to the right, which is annoying. Also putting a noise filter on the track might help to. Good peice though.

Lukania responds:

Actually I Can't Figure Out How To Equalize The Sound On Wavepad Yet. And I Added Too Many Sound Filters And When It Was Recorded The Bass Does'nt Record Well On Computer Mic's

You have along way to go

The piano sounds very programed, and the score has few off key notes. It's also not complete. I can tell there are alot of notes you left out, and not to mention accominyment part. Last point if you must use a programed piano voice at least ajust the reverb and eq settings so that it sounds at least a little like a real piano.

Don't let this discorage you by the way, every ones first piece sucks, it how you learn.

Well I'm Impressed

I about ready to roast you on the singing the singing, but you actualy did a very good on it, all on key, which is impressive considering the song. The little piano score was also worked out very well. So kudos, good job.

Noooooo

The only thing that makes The Bad Touch good is the lyrics and thats the part you took out. It's not a very good score, it's very repetative and un-interesting, and you put way to much distortion on this. It you must remix, pick a song with good instramentals.

BowserThedestructive responds:

Well i am lol i didnt take out the vocals i used an MID file to make allof these But ima get an Audio to MID converter now that i thought about it Use (Virtual DJ) lower the bass and treble of a song sync them together raise the vocals part of it has much has i can and You'll hear my Newest mixes WITH Vocals ADDED :D! accept for ones without vocals in the first place.

Not bad

First off the lyrics are actualy pretty good. But the music sucks, poorly balenced and too much distortion, and not enough bass. Also the recording was done kinda badly, your mic is clipping, you need to ajust your levels and consider using a moniter or headphones so you can keep on key. The levels need to be adjusted too. Remaster it.

Lejin responds:

I dont think DjLimited did a bad job on the beat it sounds great. I like the sound he went with on this beat. And my flow was on point as alwas thats what everyeone just loves about me. Theres no clipping on there that anyone other than you could hear. But maybe its your sound settings or who knows. Thanks for sharing your opinion though very much apreciated smilie.

Pretty good

I can tell you got skill, the problem is in the mixxing. You need to adjust you levels so the the guitars don't clip, I whould use envalopes to keep the volume level more consistant. Consider putting it through a noise gate, remember you can always add more distortion later with a VST. Also the drums and bass are a bit over-powered. I can tell you got skill but this needs to be mixxed better because it sounds like crap.

himenow responds:

I'm not that great at mixing, but I haven't really used envelopes before except for fading.
I have no clue how to add a noise gate with Adobe Audition 1.5, so if you could help me, I'd appreciate it :)

And can you recommend any good VSTs with some good distortion?

I'm Impressed

The arrangement here is very good, very melodic, and nice use of ambient sounds in the background. I like the acoustic sounding drums alot. The instruments all compliment each other very well. It's a very beautiful song, nice work, the melody is so hypnotic you almost get lost in it. I can't find anything to criticise here, so all can say is nice work.

ErikMcClure responds:

Thank you, i'm glad you find the song enjoyable :)

Interesting

This has a pretty interesting sound, it is a bit inconsistant and off key but that actualy works here the way you did, and it ends up sounding pretty good. Think it whould go well in a game. Nice job on the rythem by the way.

DmNt responds:

"...off key but that actualy works here the way you did..."

Yes, that's why I kept it; because it sounded pretty good. Thanks for reviewing.

Brilliant!

This is amazing, it's absolutely brilliant. The score itself is very chaotic, but the tempo changes and the bizar chords, really underline the theme. The lyrics are brilliant, not just the meaning, but there is no rhyme scheme, at all! This is normally a bad thing but yet here, it matches the already chaotic melody perfectly further underlining the theme, Devastation. It's brilliant.

The drums really do alot for the music. The rhythm builds tension and clearly defines the beat which keep changing symbolizing perhaps turbulent changes in ones life (or devastation of course). More of this effect is added by the violin and the ambient sounds in the background.

Lastly, of course, the vocals are perfect. All on perfect key. Nothing really to criticise here, music is art and this is masterpiece. I do definitely see improvement in your arrangement and diversity of instruments. All I can say is keep it up.

hania responds:

I'm glad you approve ;) *much smiles here*
I love how you understand the piece so well - good work with your review !
Take care!!

Not Bad

I think this is really complex enough to call Jazz though, thats one of the main traits that makes jazz so interesting is having many parts in a strange harmony. It's got a cool score, there's just not enough there.

Minoff responds:

Thats cool. Everyones different.

Angry Rant, overcritical reviews, and music of every kind all color my repertoire.
